Review of "The Hanging Tree (Doctors of Darkness Book 2)" by Ellery A. Kane

 A Four Star Read

"The Hanging Tree (Doctors of Darkness Book 2)" by Ellery A. Kane is an interesting story Although I haven’t read the first book in the series, that didn’t detract from my enjoyment of this gripping tale. The story oscillates between captivating intrigue and stark brutality, making it hard to turn away—even when it feels overwhelming. This isn’t the kind of book you devour in one sitting; it’s one that requires time to digest and reflect. Despite not counting down the hours until I could dive back into it after work, I couldn’t help but appreciate the clever plot twists and the remarkably realistic characters that Kane has crafted. The depth of this story truly makes it a standout, even if it challenges you along the way.

✵ Clever plot
✵  Interesting characters

Review of "Making It So: A Memoir" by Patrick Stewart

 A Five Star Read

"Making It So: A Memoir" by Patrick Stewart is an incredibly heartfelt and candid account of his life, spanning from his early childhood to the present day. I was genuinely taken aback to learn that he comes from a working-class background; I had always assumed he hailed from a more privileged, middle-class upbringing. His journey through life is nothing short of fascinating, revealing the challenges and triumphs he's faced along the way.

Stewart doesn’t shy away from sharing personal anecdotes, including his experiences with infidelity, divorce, and the complexities of his relationships with his children. This memoir not only deepens our understanding of him as an artist but also as a human being. I found it genuinely captivating and thought-provoking!
